Players Registration

Registration Process for SQ/U10/PW/U12/Bantam Players

  1. Register & pay online.
  2. Complete registration by connecting with Mary Kelvie.
  3. Pick up and pay for raffle tickets.
  4. Pick up practice jersey.
  5. Get fitted for game jerseys (if new to OYHA or need a new size). Bring player with shoulder & elbow pads or chest protector (make sure they fit first!).

Registration Process for Mini-Mites/Mite Players

  1. Register & pay online.
  2. NEW - 2 separate sessions for Mini-Mites. Save $15 by registering for both now!
  3. ALSO NEW THIS YEAR - if you have a new to OYHA hockey player, you will receive an email requesting for you to upload your player's birth certificate. Please do so right away as MN Hockey requires it for your player to be on the ice.
  4. If your player does not need to rent / exchange equipment, you are done following the completion of online registration!
  5. If your player needs to rent / exchange rental equipment - please come Sept. 2 anytime between 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Four Seasons

Mite / U8 (June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2018)

Squirt / U10 (June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2016)

Peewee / U12 (June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2014)

Bantam / U15 (June 1, 2010 to May 31, 2012)

Costs

Mini-Mite / U6 - $165 (30 down, $27/month) both sessions -or- $90/session

Session 1 - Oct. 29 - Dec. 21; $90 - $30 down, $30/month

Session 2 - Dec. 28; $90 - $30 down, $30/month

Mite / U8 - $220; $20 down, $40/month

Squirt / U10 - $650; $250 down, $80/month

Peewee / U12 - $825; $250 down, $115/month

Bantam / U15 - $975; $250 down, $145/month

Payment Options: (NO CHECK PAYMENTS)

New 2025 - - NO CHECK PAYMENTS

  1. Single Pay:
  2. credit / debit card add 2% + 1.99% + $0.99 fee to all transactions
  3. ACH transactions 1.9% + $0.99
  4. Payment Plan: 5 payments (10/1, 11/1, 12/1, 1/1, 2/1)

Fundraising

All players SQ/U10/PW/U12/Bantam are expected to purchase $200 in raffle tickets ($400 max per family). Checks are deposited Dec. 1.


There are no other fundraising expectations at this time.

Jerseys & Socks

If your player is new to OYHA or new to travelling hockey (Squirt/U10 and older), their first set of jerseys is free (one pair of new socks will also be issued each season). Players are fitted for game jerseys on registration night. (Bring your shoulder pads / chest protector with you - if you need to purchase new shoulder pads / chest protector - you will want to do that BEFORE you get fitted as it could affect the jersey size you order.)


Mini-Mites & Mites keep their reversible practice/game jerseys and socks.


Additional pairs of socks within the same season are $30 / pair.

Returning Players (Squirts/U10 and older)

Please have your player try on their jersey from last year to make sure it still fits them. If your player wishes to change his/her number, or has outgrown his/her jersey / gotten a new chest protector / shoulder pads, you are responsible to pay for the new jerseys - approx. $120. Also, if the jerseys your player previously had in his/her possession have holes / tears, you will be responsible to purchase new jerseys. DO NOT wait until tryouts / fall camp to try on the jersey and check out the fit of the chest protector / shoulder pads. New jerseys take 6-8 weeks or more once ordered to come in leaving your player without jerseys at the start of the season. Please contact Mary Kelvie to pay for the jerseys and get them ordered. 

Extra Costs

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

No extra fees unless the team decides to go to an additional tournament beyond what OYHA pays for during the season.

Helmets

Double check the HECC sticker date on your player's helmet to verify it hasn't expired. If you have questions about this - please bring the helmet along to registration night and someone will help you.

Petitioning to a Different Level?

You will not be able to register for the level your player is petitioning to play. You will need to register for the level your player is age eligible to play. Once your petition has been been approved and Mary Kelvie has been notified of the decision, she will work with you to get your player in the correct placement and will arrange to collect the additional registration fees for the level your player was approved to play in for this year.
