The Minnesota Mavericks are looking for exceptional players. If you would like to be considered for one of our teams we will be holding an evaluation skate at Shattuck St. Mary’s during Christmas Break. Tuesday December 27th and Wednesday December 28th are the dates. We will be considering players born in 2003 2002 2001 2000 1999 1998 as well as U14 and U16 girls. We see a need for consistent development and believe our organization can help young players do just that.
As one of the oldest AAA organizations in the state of Minnesota, we offer our players an environment to learn the game from professional coaches that teach high-level contemporary hockey strategies and skills. The Mavericks program also allows for a developing player to participate in other summer sports as we only practice and play games on weekends.
Shattuck St. Mary’s will now be utilized as home rink for Mavericks hockey. Games and tournaments are typically played in Minnesota so our travel expenses are kept to a minimum yet we still play high-level competition. Minimal travel costs combined with our non-profit status, assures you will receive top of the line instruction, play and experience for about one half of the cost of other AAA organizations.
To register your player for the evaluation skate, go to the Mavericks web site and complete the Mavericks Holiday Skate Form by December 22nd, 2011. Only pre-registered players will be allowed to participate in the Holiday Evaluation, and registration will be cut off at 30 players and 4 goalies at each level so sign up now! Players currently rostered on other AAA teams are welcome to come and check us out confidentially. If your player is selected to participate, the cost will be $25 due the day of the evaluation skate. Each day will consist of two ice sessions 1.5 hours each. If you choose to skate both days you must pay for an extra session.
