Some of the responsibilities include:

• review coaching applications, conduct interviews and recommend coaching candidates to the Board for approval.
• evaluation and feedback for coaches during the season and in a post-season.
• help ensure consistency and player development throughout the boys and the girls youth system.
• act as a liaison between the high school hockey coach (es), the Education and Development Committee and OYHA coaches themselves.
• recommend a tryout Selection Subcommittee to the Board for approval and will conduct tryouts.
• act as a liaison to mediate discrepancies between coaches, players and parents.
• follow the operating guidelines established by the board for OYHA and USA Hockey.
• responsible for organizing and/or conducting all skills nights for all levels including goalie skills.
