For those interested in officiating this year USA Hockey 's online registration program is back. The registration period for 2013-14 opens Wednesday August 1st. You will simply need to log onto usahockey.com and look for the online registration button to complete your officiating application.

In addition, here are a few helpful hints as you complete the registration process:
• Go to the seminar portion of usahockey.com and pick out a seminar that fits into your busy schedule. If you have to pre-register for a seminar in your area, be sure to do so right away to save your place in the seminar program. If this is your first year you will need to register for a Level 1 seminar.
• Follow the instructions regarding the open book exam. Do not take the exam until you have your book. It usually takes a week to have the book mailed to you. Some may want to take the test before attending the seminar. It is up to you but the seminar goes over some of the information on the test. If you feel you can find the answers in the book or feel confident enough it is up to you. I believe you have 2 chances to pass the online test. If it is your first year of officiating and you don’t pass the test you will not be certified.

Once you have registered send me your email address that you will be using for the season. I will put you in my group of officials emailing list. This will also be used for the game scheduling program that we use. I will contact you after the seminars and invite you to the ref meeting prior to the start of the season.
