MAY OYHA BOARD MEETING MINUTES

May 17, 2006

Members Present: Gwen Lysne, Scott Kozelka, Greg Johnson, Doug Voss, Dave Swenson, Terry Thompson, Nikki Gieseke, Steve Martin, Gary Feichtinger, Dan Appel

 

Members Absent:  Charles Auger, Shawn Pfieffer, Dean Braget, Lisa Cochran

 

Guests:  Ann Paulson, Will Fish, Greg Queen, Joan Queen and incoming board members.

Dave Swenson a made a motion to approve past meeting minutes with proposal of one Husky Camp that was missed.  Gary Feichtinger seconded.  Approved.

 

GAMBLING REPORT

 

Ann Paulson, gambling manager, reported there were 9 violations for Webers o the report from the State.  Shortages have been resolved and a meeting was help to discuss getting correct names.  Accounting practices have been modified to reflect actual check date not reflect the month of the occurrence.

 

Steve Martin motioned to approve the Gambling Report for April ’06 as presented by Ann Paulson.  Dave Swenson seconded.   

 

Dave Swenson motioned to pre-approve the May expenses.  Gary Feichtinger seconded the motion.  Approved.

 

Treasurer’s Report – Greg Johnson reported financials would be viewed in full at next month’s meeting.

 

 

COMMITTEE UPDATES

 

ConcessionsGary Feichtinger and Steve Martin presented they were making progress adding a third person and want a firm commitment by next week.

 

Fundraising / Sponsorship – No report.

 

Ice – No report

 

Equipment  - The County has completed the basement.  The committee will be meeting Monday to talk about building.  Hoping to have this complete by registration.

 

Coaches Committee  No report

 

Registration – No report

 

Tournaments – No report.

 

Gary Feichtinger made a motion to accept all committee reports.  Terry Thompson seconded.  Approved.

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

No old business to report.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Donation:  Dave Swenson made a motion to accept Will Fish’s donation of a portable shooting range.  Nikki Gieseke seconded.  Approved.

 

Dave Swenson made a motion to adjourn.  Seconded by Doug Voss.  Approved.
